Marketing for thought leaders

Be seen – by being yourself

You’re doing excellent work – but too few people know about it. I help consultants build visibility and authority in their field with marketing that feels authentic, not self-promotional.

How I help

You’ve got the experience and the ambition, but too few people see it. LinkedIn feels like a chore, and ‘thought leadership’ either sounds self-promotional or too vague to act on. Meanwhile, peers who shout louder keep getting the opportunities you know you’re qualified for.

It’s not that you lack expertise – it’s that you don’t have the time, headspace or structure to show it consistently. And in a busy consultancy, that means your profile slips down the priority list, even though you know it could open doors.

I make it easy to turn your expertise into visibility. Together we’ll define the themes you want to be known for, refresh your profile so it reflects who you are today, and create content in your voice. That might mean weekly LinkedIn posts, a polished article, or a speaker bio that gets you on panels.

You stay authentic and present, while I handle the structure and the heavy lifting.

The visibility kit?

I start our work with a core set of assets – I call it the Visibility Kit.

This usually includes a profile refresh and a short brand story that sums up what you stand for. From there, we build a 90-day content plan that sets out the topics you’ll cover, the hooks that will resonate, and a rhythm that fits around your workload.

The kit also includes a series of ghostwritten LinkedIn posts – usually between eight and twelve – designed to show your expertise without sounding forced. Alongside those, I’ll create one longer piece, such as an article or a case story, that digs a little deeper into your perspective. To support speaking opportunities, we’ll develop a polished bio and a short pitch email you can send to panel organisers. And for consultants who want a more visual presence, I provide light design support to make your posts and materials look as professional as they sound.

For some people, that’s enough. For others, we add in an article series, a simple newsletter, or coordination with PR to make sure the right audiences are paying attention.

Personal visibility is business development

In professional services, clients engage with people – not just companies. Marketing is about showing the value of the individuals who do the work, not just the brand behind them.

That’s been true in every consultancy I’ve worked with – whether in-house or agency side. When your insights, experience, and point of view are visible, you build trust. And when people trust you, they choose your consultancy too.

That’s why I often start with the individual: your profile, your message, your rhythm.

But visibility is part of a broader system – one that connects positioning, credibility, and consistent business development.

If you want a structure that supports both your personal presence and your business growth, the Growth Rhythm Kit can help.

What to expect.

Raising your profile isn’t an overnight fix – it depends on the size of your network, your consistency and, sometimes, whether you’re prepared to invest in boosting content.

What I can tell you is this: when you’re more visible, more opportunities open up. Clients and partners trust people they see regularly, speaking clearly and consistently. Marketing makes that visibility deliberate instead of leaving it to chance.

Most people I work with start to feel the shift within a couple of months – more profile views, warmer conversations, easier introductions. Over time, this builds a bank of proof points you can draw on in proposals, pitches and partnerships.

Typical timeline:

Week 1 – discovery and positioning: Clarify themes, content pillars and what she wants to be known for.

Week 2 – profile refresh: Optimise LinkedIn headline, About section, featured media and visuals.

Weeks 3–4 – content creation: Draft first set of posts, one article and a speaker bio or pitch email.

Weeks 5–8 – visibility in action: Publish content, track early signals, refine rhythm and repurpose posts.

Why work with me?

When you’re short in time, I do the heavy lifting – you share notes, review drafts and approve the final copy. Your ideas stay yours. I just make them easier to publish.

I’ve spent over 30 years around technical and professional services, and I know how important it is to sound like yourself. I don’t do hype or jargon – just plain-English marketing that makes you easier to find, easier to trust, and easier to recommend.
